Garden of VeganPosted in Food on December 10, 2013
I was recently surprised in the small town of Launceston, Tasmania with some divine tasty vegetarian places to eat.
I spent hours at the cutest cafe, The Garden of Vegan, because I wanted to taste so many of the delicious options on the menu!
It is a cosy space, so it is not somewhere you would go with a big group but is just perfect for 2-4 people to fill up of great food and vibes. There is a big park across the road, which you can grab take away and have a picnic if the weather was nicer than it was when I was there!
The fit out is full of greenery and wood and the staff very friendly and inspiring. The menu changes depending on what day it is in the week, which I think keeps it fresh and exciting. The healthy desert options on display were impressive.
I ate the Mango Mint Vietnamese Rice Rolls with one of the best green smoothies I have tried ( and I drink a lot of them!) that was just the right mix of Kale, Spinach, Parsley (locally sourced) Aussie Organic Hemp Seeds, Organic Dates and Bananas. Everyone else there seemed to be eating the Laksa, which I admit, as yummy as mine was, I did have food envy because the aroma was blissful!
As the rain pelted down outside, I stayed snug inside and sipped on a almond milk chai and ate some of the yummy choc mint balls. If you ever happen to be down that part of the world I highly recommend you to check it out. If not, just looking over the fantastic dishes they post on facebook will make you want to plan a visit!
