Chocolate Blend Dessert Shake

This one is a sweet version of my standard morning shake. The kids love it and it’s a great sneaky way to get some good fats into my very fussy son! I personally like it really cold, so I often put it in the freezer for 5 minutes after I have made it or/and use coconut milk that has been in the fridge overnight. The mix of the avocado, banana and coconut milk make this one so creamy, like eating a cream! This one is a great one to make with the kids.

INGREDIENTS

Serves 2

Chocolate sauce

2 tablespoons raw cocoa powder

2 tablespoons maple syrup

3 tablespoons coconut milk

sprinkle of salt

 Shake 

The rest of the 1 can full-fat coconut milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup of coconut water

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

2 soft medjool dates, pitted

1/2 small ripe avocado

1 frozen banana

1 cup of baby spinach or kale

3 tablespoons of nut butter

3/4 cup of ice

pinch of salt

cacao nibs
Dessert Shake

 

1. Mix the chocolate sauce ingredients together in a bowl until they are completely mixed and smooth. Set aside.

2. In a blender put all the other ingredients and blitz until creamy and smooth.

3. Put the chocolate sauce into the bottom of two glasses. Then top up with the shake mix. Top with cacao nibs for crunchy treats.
